Peggy Stevens and her husband Brian were one of the four founding families of the Pugwash Farmers Market. They sold baking and garden produce, including preserves. After a few years they took some time away from the market, returning in 2014 with quilting: bags, table pieces and various sizes of bed quilts.
Peggy’s favourite style of quilting is scrappy. Being a vendor at the market has given her the opportunity to explore colour and design and share the results with others. Besides quilted items, she brings a few things from her gardens: lavender bouquets and fruit if they have more than they can use (haskaps, blueberries and raspberries).
Peggy will also be offering hanging spice racks which her son Bruce designs and makes.
